Tyrell Stud bred, dual Group One winner Behemoth has been confirmed as the contender for Everest slot holder The Star,
South Australian racing's most popular champion, will be back in Sydney in October for the A$15m Everest Cup.
A Behemoth both in name and in physical size is raced by Grand Syndicates who purchased the horse for just A$6,000.
Grand Syndicate's racing manager Sam Lyons who has been campaigning for his 5YO gelding to race in The Everest since last year, said it’s a ‘dream come true’ for the ownership group to have a runner in The Everest. They have also syndicated ruling The Kosciuszko favorite It’s Me.
