Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Michelle Payne and fellow hoop Ben Allen have been suspended for their rides in the same race at Kyneton on Tuesday.
Payne and Allen were outed for eight meetings each after both pleaded guilty to careless riding.
Payne, onboard Sotirio, permitted her to mount to shift out near the 200m when not sufficiently clear of Loudspeaker, who was tightened for room between Sotirio and Alls Fair and as a result had to be checked.
Allen, on Loudspeaker, allowed his mount to shift out near the 300m when not sufficiently clear of Breaking Waves, resulting in that filly being tightened outwards towards Alls Fair, who lost its rightful running and had to be restrained.
Allen's suspension will expire at midnight on December 3, while Payne's ends at midnight, November 30.
Stewards took into consideration both riders' very good records and the low range of the charges.
