“We are really excited to present the yearlings by top racehorses,” Westbury Stud General Manager Russell Warwick. Here Warwick speaks about Westbury’s top lots from the draft and why they are special:
- Lot 17 Reliable Man X Our Girl Madi: The second foal of Our Girl Madi, a close relation to Imposingly (dam of five Group winners incl.
dual HOTY Bonneval, Lord Arthur etc). The colt is a good moving colt with extremely good balance and is very reminiscent of his sire.
- Lot 204 Tavistock X Visa Lisa: out of the Redoute's Choice mare Visa Lisa, the colt has the look of good Tavistock progeny combined with the strength of his broodamre sire which should be a perfect combination. Has the look of a quality 3YO who could be effective from 1400-2400.
- Lot 245 El Roca X Anthology: A very impressive looking colt from a highly regarded Australian speed family. By Fastnet Rock's son El Roca who has already left a Gr.1 winner from his first crop and the colt is a grandson of Gr.1 sprinter Imanabaa and from the family of Rostova.
- Lot 354 Holler X Dontpokethetiger: An athletic sprinting colt by Gr.1 winner Holler from the Gr.2 placed 2YO Dontpokethetiger. A direct descendant of English Oaks winner Moonshell, the colt comes from the family of Golden Slipper Stakes winner Miss Finland.
- Lot 562 Reliable Man X Mrs Kennedy An outstanding filly by highly successful sire Reliable Man from the Fastnet Rock mare Mrs Kennedy, and therefore bred on the same corss as Group performers De La Terre & Aalaalune. The filly is closely related to Group 1 performers Mrs Onassis, Missrock, & Lady Jakeo.
