Long term Gooree Park Stud Manager, Andrew Baddock speaks to The Impact about the results of their draft in the 2020 Chairman & Broodmare Sale and about the major change in direction of their business model whereby they are opening their gates for commercial operations for the first time in 30 years.
Baddock explains that they will be able to permanently agist 120 mares and providing all breeding and foaling facilities. Gooree can also provide mating advice on Stallions and will walk out mares to all Studs
in NSW.
Their Spelling and Pre-Training facilities incorporate state of the art training tracks, an 1800-meter sand track and a 2100-meter grass track the same size as Sydney's Randwick Racecourse.
The famed Gooree Park Stud owned by Australian Hall of Famer Mr Eduardo M Cojuangco Jr. (who was inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame in 2015 has produced top stallions - Northern Meteor,
Smart Missile, Your Song, Hallowed Crown, Prized Icon and Needs Further.
Previously Gooree exclusively bred horses to the race which would usually be trained by the likes of Gai Waterhouse. The undulating grounds of the farm and Baddock’s experienced team know to produce
strong-boned, high-quality horses.
