Stunning Gleeson Draft Sets Magic Millions Yearling Sale Catalogue On Fire

Q: Please tell us more about your top lots and what makes them special?

A: We have 11 quality Lots in this year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast sale. Our draft is headlined by the following horses:

• Lot 781 (Neorealism X Be Alle Belle): This colt would have to be our standout lot on type. He is a magnificent physical specimen with a rare combination of athleticism and precocity. He looks like the sort of horse that will make a talented 2yo and train on as an older horse. He is a half relation to the prolific Adelaide sprinter Alleboom who has won 6 races and over $250 000 in prizemoney. Being by a true international racehorse, the Gr. 1 winning Neorealism, this is our offering with the most appeal for the overseas buyers.
• Lot 157 (Spirit Of Boom X Jefe): This filly oozes class! She looks a likely, pre-Christmas 2YO. Her walk is fluid and she appears as if she barely touches the ground. This filly has a proper 2yo pedigree being by the prepotent Spirit of Boom out of a mare who had a half-sister run in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic. This is the horse for the buyer wanting to race for the big prizemoney next year.
• Lot 804 (Impending X Bimini Road): This is a very well-proportioned filly with an excellent nature. She looks to be more of a 3yo type and hails from the magnificent Denise’s Joy family. She is out a mare that our family raced who showed us immense potential but did not reach this potential due to an unfortunate injury.
• Lot 460 (Spirit Of Boom X Run Remie Run): A tough customer. Has a determined attitude and gives the impression that he will not be found wanting at the end of his races. He boasts a strong pedigree being by Spirit of Boom out of a Pierro mare. He comes from the prolific Tennessee family that has produced the crack sprinting mare, Libertini.
• Lot 1128 (Flying Artie X Fiery Hussy): This colt is the sentimental favourite for Gleeson Thoroughbreds as he hails from a half-sister to the star that has emerged from our farm, Rothfire. While he is a later foal he is very typical of the Flying Artie breed and will mature into a magnificent specimen.
• Lot 979 (Sidestep X Shadows): By a Golden Slipper sire in Sidestep. This horse appears to be the strongest and most powerful in our draft. His half-sister is the New Zealand staked performed, Love For all. And his unraced half-sister by Flying Artie is showing plenty of talent in the stables of Kelly Schweida. He looks like a real runner.

Q: Please tell us about the success of your recent graduates from this sale and the farm in general.

A: The flagship horse for our business has been Rothfire. A Gr. 1 winning 2yo with very humble beginnings who earned two Everest slots only to suffer injuries on the eve of both races. But he is not the only talent.

This year’s first Australian 2YO race of the season, the Pat O’Shea Plate, was won by our only Magic Millions January graduate in Menari Magic. She is being targeted at the rich Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

We are also closely following Aleeboom who is knocking on the door of stakes success in the southern state sprints. Also, Love For All has come up well in her latest preparation with a last-start win. Her timing is perfect with the rich New Zealand races just around the corner.

And Macau based sprinter, Golden Conqueror, has been a favourite of our farm with his consistent record of 9 wins.
