A 26 kilogram chocolate Easter egg has gone under the hammer and raised $30,000 for Liverpool Hospital’s Paediatric Unit.
The giant egg was auctioned off by Inglis at an event promoting the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale in April, with donor Geoff Grimish OAM making the winning bid and also donating the giant Lindt chocolate egg to the hospital.
South Western Sydney Local Health District chief executive Amanda Larkin was proud to welcome Inglis’ deputy chairman Arthur Inglis and managing director Mark Webster and Mr Grimish to the District and accept the generous donations. The donation will be used to purchase medical equipment to monitor and resuscitate sick children in the Paediatric Unit.
Arthur Inglis said the company was delighted to have the opportunity to support Liverpool Hospital’s Paediatric Unit.
