Top jockeys such as Hugh Bowman, Kerrin McEvoy, and James McDonald will now be able to ride in The Everest, travel by private vehicle to Victoria the next day and after five days of self-isolation at an approved location as well as providing a negative COVID-19 test, they will be able to ride at The Valley on Manikato Stakes Night and Cox Plate Day.
They would also be cleared to ride at Flemington for the four Gr.1 race days of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Racing Victoria will expedite the results of COVID-19 tests to ensure interstate participants are given every opportunity to fulfill their engagements in feature races.
Jockeys that choose to remain in Sydney for the Golden Eagle will be ruled out of all Gr.1 race days in Melbourne, except the final day of Flemington's Melbourne Cup Carnival.

The weight scale for the Gr.1 Toorak Handicap (1600m) at Caulfield the Gr.1 Cantala Stakes (1600m) at Flemington will be a minimum topweight of 59kg on a limit weight of 53kg. The weight scale for these races is traditionally 58kg on a 52kg limit.
