Star sprinter Classique Legend will have to trial again and undergo an official veterinary inspection after his performance in the Hong Kong Sprint was deemed 'unacceptable' by stewards.
The former Australian sprinter, having his first start for Caspar Fownes, drifted in the market and finished 11th behind winner Danon Smash.
The Everest winner only had a short time to acclimatise to Hong Kong and then drew a tricky barrier one for Sunday's sprint.
In the Incident Report, jockey Vincent Ho said the circumstances of the race meant Classique Legend wasn't able to be placed where he wanted.
A veterinary inspection of Classique Legend immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of Classique Legend, a favoured runner in today's race, was considered unacceptable.
