The auction is show-stopping affair has once again the crème of the ‘early fast’ type yearlings.
In seven heart-stopping days of trade at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale that kicks off on Jan. 12, the bloodstock world's attention will be focused on a catalogue of potential future stars of the sales ring, racecourse, and breeding ranks.
Although the Queensland border is closed to individuals who have been in a Queensland Government declared COVID-19 hotspot (currently Greater Sydney incorporating 35 NSW Local Government Areas and 1 NSW unincorporated area) since 11 December, the furore surrounding the sale has only grown.
Serious buyers from Sydney are making alternative plans to make their buys either through leading bloodstock agents or directly online.
As always the auction has attracted 1273 quality lots from across Australasia, including a record 962 lots to be offered across Book 1 of the sale from Tuesday 12 January
The catalogue features yearlings from high-class sires such as Not a Single Doubt, Written Tycoon, I Am Invincible, Exceed and Excel, Fastnet Rock, Pierro, Snitzel, American Pharoah among many other stellar stallions.
Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said he was hopeful of solid trade, with plenty of pre-sales behind the scenes action and vigorous farm visits.
“The depth and quality of this catalogue will present buyers with a lineup of Australasia’s best yearlings like no other sale.”
