Australian Bloodstock’s latest purchase Lambo (Protectionist) is set to bid for Classic honours after pleasing connections in his most-recent outing.
Trained in Germany by Miroslav Rulec, the colt showed his well being with a thirdplaced finish when heading to France to contest Longchamp’s Prix Hocquart (Gr.2, 2200m) on Monday, beaten just a length by the winner Bubble Gift (Nathaniel).
Lambo is now likely to take his chance in the Deutsches Derby (Gr.1, 2400m) at Hamburg on July 4.
